A2970- Requires Insurance Fraud Prosecutor to establish liaison with Department of Labor & Workforce Development (DOLWD) and authorizes its investigation of cases of failure to provide workers' compensation coverage
This bill makes it a violation of the “New Jersey Insurance Fraud Prevention Act,” and a crime of insurance fraud, for any employer who is required to provide workers’ compensation insurance coverage or to self-insure for such coverage to fail to do so.
A832 – Protects small business by expanding scope of New Jersey Regulatory Flexibility Act in dealing with economic impact of rules on small businesses.
Among this bill’s provisions is a revision of the definition of small business from a business that employs fewer than 100 full-time employees to one which, along with its affiliates, employs fewer than 100 full-time employees or has gross annual sales of less than $6 million.
A1261 Prohibits display of gift card account numbers.
This bill would make it an unlawful practice to sell gift cards unless they are packaged or displayed in a manner that would prevent a person from viewing the gift card account number prior to purchasing the gift card.
A 422- Requires alternative testing arrangements be provided to certain students unable to attend tests at their regular administration due to religious observance.
This bill requires institutions of higher education to provide alternative testing arrangements to students who are unable to attend a test at its regular administration due to religious observance. Similarly, this bill requires providers of standardized tests to provide alternative testing arrangements to test subjects who are unable to attend a standardized test at its regular administration due to religious observance.
